Being on a plane always fills me with awe. We are so tiny, & Earth seen from this viewpoint is so breathtakingly beautiful.
It was nice to get away for a while, but I'm also relieved to be coming back to a place of generally more pleasant people. I'd forgotten that if you try to maintain any semblance of courtesy or basic manners in China, you're gonna be at a serious disadvantage... & the experience is really quite disheartening.
