Day 44 Happy Trigger: Learning about weird interesting stuff.
Went for a media lunch with the regional Taobao folks today, and they shared that they actually have merchants selling horses and helicopters on the site. No, not toy horses or helicopter models, but actual live horses and functional choppers.
Colleague RL then did a search for weird stuff you can buy off taobao, and found that someone actually sold cadavers!
Now before you think that I have escalated to a whole new level of morbidity, let's just clarify that body trafficking (even if "legal") isn't what makes me happy. What pleases me is the process of finding out about fun/interesting stuff, even if the info is really quite useless for daily application.
It's important to learn something new every day. Now I know where to get my supply of fresh bodies if I ever need some.
