Didn't notice my Mom was busy taking photos while I sang to grandma. Not sure if this pic belongs here coz to be honest this doesn't really make me happy, quite the opposite in fact. It's true what they all say about this disease. But there are fleeting moments when she does make eye contact or times when she actually remembers to swallow her food. & I guess those are the ones we should look out for & focus on. There is a certain comfort in singing to her... I started because I really didn't know what else to do, & I'm still not sure if she hears me at all now but it helps me at least.
Other things that i'm thankful for : this home has excellent caretakers who truly enjoy their very selfless work.
They even make the effort to prettify the residents just for fun, like we'll sometimes arrive to find my grandma in full makeup, lipstick & all with ribbons in her hair.
Today as you can see, it was a lovely blue manicure. I really salute these nurses.
